The Football League have confirmed they have received a formal appeal from Wrexham AFC against the 10-poiny penalty imposed after their move to Administration was accepted by the High Court in Manchester.
An appeal panel will be assembled and hearing will be arranged as soon as is practicable, likely to be before December 30.
An independent firm of accountants will be asked to produce a report into the circumstances surrounding and leading up to the club’s move into administration which will then be presented to the panel.
